Early Career Teacher Programme

At Affinity Learning Partnership, we take immense pride in supporting Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as they embark on the pivotal early stages of their teaching careers. Our mission is to nurture and develop exceptional educators who will make a lasting impact in the classroom and beyond. We have an ambition to nurture the best teachers.

We value each and every member of our Trust community and place a very strong emphasis on our staff well-being. 

Our two-year ECT programme is designed as a crucial transition phase for newly qualified teachers, offering stability, structure, and ongoing support throughout an extended induction period. This ensures that every ECT has the resources and guidance they need to thrive.

We offer a comprehensive Early Career Professional Development Programme across both ECT1 and ECT2 phases. Over the course of the two years, ECTs engage with 12 carefully crafted modules—one for each half term. Each module is structured to provide a balanced blend of learning, practice, and reflection. Throughout the programme, ECTs will:

• Master key teaching content

• Apply this knowledge effectively in the classroom

• Reflect on both their professional and personal growth

Our programme is designed to give new teachers the very best chance of success, with dedicated mentorship and support at every stage. With a proven track record of helping ECTs build confidence and expertise, our programme offers an exceptional foundation for a rewarding and impactful teaching career.
