Affinity Learning Partnership is celebrating a double national victory as two of its schools, The de Ferrers Academy and Lansdowne Infant Academy, have been named winners in the 2025/26 Edurio school experience awards.

The accolades place both schools in the top 10 nationally for their respective categories out of 759 schools surveyed across England, highlighting the Trust’s commitment to excellent teaching, transparent communication, and student empowerment.

The de Ferrers Academy has won the National Pupil Feedback in Action Award. The award recognises the top 10 scoring schools nationally for pupils' responses to the question: "How valued do you think pupil opinion is in your school?". The honour celebrates the academy's strong culture of pupil voice and visible "you said, we did" actions.

Ali Bickle, Executive Principal at The de Ferrers Academy, said:

"I am incredibly proud of our students and staff for this fantastic achievement. Most importantly, this award reflects what is central to our culture at de Ferrers - listening to our students and acting on what they tell us. It is a real testament to the positive, inclusive and ambitious community we have built together."

Lansdowne Infant Academy has been awarded the National Pupil Engagement Award, which celebrates schools where pupils find their learning genuinely interesting. Lansdowne was identified as one of the top 10 primary schools in the country based on the question: "How interesting do you find your lessons?". The recognition highlights the school's engaging teaching and well-designed curriculum.

Jane Casey, Headteacher at Lansdowne Infant Academy, said:

"We are incredibly proud to be placed among the top 10 primary schools in the country. This award is a wonderful reflection of our children’s voices and the positive culture we work hard to create. We want every child to feel listened to, valued and excited to come to school."

Graeme Smith, CEO of Affinity Learning Partnership, added:

"We are immensely proud of both The de Ferrers Academy and Lansdowne Infant Academy for achieving such prestigious national recognition. At Affinity Learning Partnership, we believe in providing an education where every child is not only engaged and excited by their learning, but also empowered to share their views. These awards reflect the dedication of our staff to creating inspiring and inclusive communities where our pupils truly thrive."

Ernest Jenavs, CEO at Edurio, congratulated the winning schools, noting that making sure pupils see what has changed and keeping them curious about what they learn makes a "very big difference to how much pupils get out of their time at school".
