Joanne Lowe
Headteacher of Richard Wakefield C.E. Primary Academy
BSc (Hons.) with Qualified Teacher Status in Primary Education and Mathematics, Edge Hill University National Professional Qualification for Headship
“Teaching and working with children has been a passion of mine from an early age. Working within Affinity Learning Partnership allows me to support all children to seize every opportunity available to them, to be proud of everything they achieve and to watch them grow and flourish as they follow their school journey.”
For over two decades, I have been dedicated to a profession which I find thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding. After three years as a teacher I took the position of Senior Leader within my school, quickly moving into my Assistant Headteacher role and later Vice Principal. I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of such a wonderful school and community within our Trust.
As a child, I attended de Ferrers secondary school, benefiting from the wealth of opportunities and experiences the school offered. This built my love of learning and encouraged me to take the steps into teaching – a passion I bring to my role every day. I have completed my National Professional Qualification in Headship, which has further strengthened my commitment to educational excellence.
Outside of school, I also hold qualifications in teaching dance and I am a qualified British Gymnastics coach – both passions I have harboured since I was young. I continue to assist my local gymnastics club with coaching and supporting as a parent. In my spare time I enjoy walking, spending time with my family and friends and I can always be found with my head in a book!
